What it does
Vertical reframe crops your video to a new format and moves the crop to follow the face or the person on screen, so nobody walks out of the frame. The picture fills the screen: no black bars and no blurred band. It also works the other way, from vertical to horizontal.
How to use it
- Open Vertical reframe and upload your video.
- Choose the format: 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 4:5 for the Instagram feed, 1:1, 2:3 or 16:9.
- Launch, check the preview, then download.

- A free account is needed from the first use of this tool, before you upload the file.
- The exact price in credits is always shown on the screen before you launch.
- Without Pro or Studio, this tool can be used at most 20 times in 24 hours.
- With Pro, this tool can be used up to 200 times a month. Studio has no per-tool limit.
- Without Pro or Studio, the result carries the Klipa logo. A Pass removes it for one video.
- Files up to 2 GB.
Common problems
Two people talk and only one is in frame. The crop follows the clearest subject. With several people or fast action, review the result before posting.
The vertical video is not sharper than my original. Reframing keeps a part of the picture and delivers it at the standard size of the format; it does not add detail. See Quality by plan.
